One key to success with your own website is continual development and adaptation to actual needs, the latest trends, and of course the technologies being used and constantly changing. At our agency, we are committed to this philosophy and have continuously invested in tools and technologies that benefit our clients and our own projects like TutKit.com.
We founded TutKit.com in 2015 and relaunched the platform in 2021. The process of technical, structural, and content development was ongoing at all times. This year, alongside the rollout of multilingual support, we are also heavily involved in database optimization and JavaScript refactoring. Demands are increasing, development continues, we are adapting.
TutKit.com is our flagship project, an extensive platform with over 50,000 subpages. Currently, the portal operates in 26 languages. Every week, we publish new content, help and blog posts, and products. By the end of the year, more languages will be added, significantly increasing the number of subpages. Given this scale, it was crucial for us to find an SEO tool specifically tailored to the requirements of very large websites.
The Need for a Specialized SEO Tool
Our existing tools, including Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights/Lighthouse, and the All-in-One SEO software Seobility, have always served us very well. However, given the complexity and increasing scope of TutKit.com, we needed an expert tool that allows in-depth technical SEO audits and optimizations.
After thorough research and evaluation of various options and tools on the market, we ultimately chose the SEO tool by Audisto. Our decision was also reinforced by the positive user opinions, such as those found on platforms like OMR:
Key Features of Audisto
Here are the key reasons why Audisto was the best choice for us:
Comprehensive crawling functionality: Audisto offers a powerful crawling system that works reliably even with very large websites. It can efficiently crawl millions of URLs and provide detailed insights into the page structure, internal linking, and more. One significant advantage is that the crawler can handle up to 24 simultaneous requests to browse the pages, whereas with Seobility only five simultaneous requests are possible. As a result, a complete crawl takes less than 90 minutes instead of half a day.
Page type segmentation: An outstanding feature of Audisto is the ability to segment different page types very granularly and analyze them separately. Additionally, we can customize the crawling with Audisto to our specific needs, by crawling only specific areas of the website or excluding certain areas, which is particularly useful for a website the size of TutKit.com. This is especially valuable for large websites like ours, which contain various types of content and page structures.
Through segmentation and crawl control, we can specifically analyze and optimize page types like blog posts, product pages, category pages, and landing pages. This provides us with specific insights and allows us to develop tailored SEO strategies for the different page types.
Deep technical analyses: The tool provides in-depth technical analyses and identifies issues that other tools may not even query. In addition to detailed reports on loading times, server response times, status codes, and more, Audisto offers deep analyses for XML sitemaps, Hreflang, and a variety of so-called hints.
Customized monitoring: In addition to the crawling tool, Audisto also provides a flexible website monitoring tool that helps us safeguard our websites against undesired changes. Customizable alerts ensure that the right individuals are notified based on the errors.
Data visualization and reporting: Audisto offers excellent visualizations and reports that help us interpret complex data easily and derive actionable insights.
Data export and API integration: Audisto provides extensive data export capabilities and a powerful API that allows us to integrate the acquired data directly into our backend. Through the API, we can continuously retrieve up-to-date data and implement automated processes for data analysis and optimization. This enables us to make our SEO strategies even more flexible and dynamic, seamlessly integrating the data into our existing systems and workflows.
Automation and scalability: The tool is highly scalable and offers automation features that make our SEO audits more efficient and less time-consuming.
After the first crawl, the initial steps with Audisto seem quite "overwhelming". Tobias Schwarz, CTO of Audisto, gave us a one-hour onboarding via video call, which was very helpful in gaining a better understanding of the tool's concept. Naturally, the complexity and attention to detail of Audisto are overwhelming, and probably a bit too much for SEO beginners. However, we are already experienced in the SEO business, which is why the way information is presented perfectly meets our needs. We require granular crawling results controlled on individual details or segments ... and now we have them.
The decision to use Audisto as our new SEO tool for our growing portal TutKit.com is a strategic move to elevate the technical on-page optimization of our platform to the next level. The extensive features, scalability, and in-depth analysis capabilities of Audisto make it the ideal choice for us.
Since the 2021 relaunch, continuous on-page optimizations and code refactorings have taken place. Therefore, part of our homework is already done. However, Audisto shows us where many more points are not quite consistent in terms of site hygiene and performance. We highly appreciate this depth of analysis because Audisto starts where other all-in-one SEO tools stop. For example, in the following image, you can see an overview of the hints. There is still a lot of work awaiting us.
We are looking forward to fully utilizing the capabilities of Audisto and to making both our own projects and those of our clients even more successful. In the coming months, we will use an intensive SEO sprint with the help of Audisto. We will document our steps and then gladly report in this blog in about six months on what changes we have made and what impact these improvements have had on our visibility.
We are very excited!
