You don't necessarily need white A4 paper for your paper airplane. It's especially fun to fold planes out of colorful paper and then paint them. You can find special origami paper in the stationery section of almost any supermarket. The great advantage of origami paper is its thinner texture - this makes all the figures much easier to fold and the edges are more precise. The colorful sheets also inspire your child's creativity and make crafting even more exciting.

Folding origami airplanes and other figures

Origami is a centuries-old Japanese folding art, and airplanes are often the first figures that children learn. The sight of an airplane high up in the clouds particularly fascinates children - you can capture this enthusiasm wonderfully by folding paper airplanes.

Folding origami figures promotes important skills in children. Fine motor skills are trained through precise folding movements - a basis for learning to write later on. Spatial imagination and abstract thinking develop when transforming flat paper into three-dimensional figures.

The early development of fine motor skills is very important for your child's development. In addition to origami, other craft activities also offer great opportunities for this. On our portal you will find numerous creative craft ideas that you can do together with your children.
