For our towel teddy bear, you only need a regular towel. As you can see in the pictures, we are using a medium-sized towel in a neutral beige-gray color, which gives the bear a particularly cute appearance.

We recommend using a rather thin towel, as it is easier to fold and the contours of the bear are better defined. Too thick terry towels can be more difficult to shape and do not hold the crease lines as well.

Required materials:

  • 1 medium-sized towel (ideally not too thick)
  • A decorative ribbon or bow (we use a cream satin ribbon)
  • Optional: small rubber bands for securing
  • Optional: decorative eyes to stick on or small buttons

Step 1: As shown in the first image, you need a square towel in beige-gray color, a cream satin ribbon, and optionally a rubber band. Start by preparing the towel. First, lay it in front of you, then fold the two opposite edges to the center and finally shape it into a form that resembles a small "suit" - with a top and legs.

Step 2: In the second image, you can see how the teddy bear is taking shape. Shape the head and arms from the top part of the towel. Then, bend the upper corners of the head outward to form the ears. Secure the ears with rubber bands. Make sure that the figure looks even, and finally attach the satin ribbon around the neck to tie a nice bow.
