Making paper airplanes: Real flyers made of paper
When was the last time you made a paper airplane?
I will show you how to fold paper airplanes
Building paper airplanes: Simply folding airplanes
Folding paper airplanes is fun not only for children! In this category, we show you how to fold various paper airplane models. From simple gliders for beginners to spectacular stunt planes for advanced users, everything is included.
Who doesn't know the fascination when the self-folded plane glides through the air? Each model has its own flying characteristics: some glide gently and far, others fly fast and precisely, while others are suitable for spectacular loops.
With our detailed video tutorials, photos, and step-by-step descriptions, you will definitely succeed in folding paper airplanes. We not only explain the folding techniques but also provide tips for the perfect takeoff and optimal flying technique.
The best part: You only need a piece of paper and your skilled hands. This way, you can fold a new airplane and make it take off anywhere and anytime.
Why is building paper airplanes so much fun
Building paper airplanes combines creative folding with exciting experimentation. Each model flies differently, and you can influence the flying characteristics through small changes. A slight bend in the wings, and your plane is already doing loops!
The fascinating thing about building paper airplanes: You playfully learn about the basics of physics. Why does a paper airplane fly at all? How do shape and weight affect the flight? By trying out different models, you will understand the basic principles of aerodynamics on your own.
Building paper airplanes is fun everywhere - indoors and outdoors. On rainy days, you can develop new models and test them in the living room. Outside, you will find perfect launch spots for long flights. It gets particularly exciting when several people launch their planes together.
You can try out new models at any time and perfect your favorites. Over time, you will develop a sense of which fold allows for which flying style. From gentle gliders to fast stunt planes - each model has its own character.

What do you need to fold a paper airplane
The beauty of folding paper airplanes: You only need regular paper. The best choice is standard printer paper in A4 size. It has the perfect thickness and size for sturdy airplanes. Colored paper may make the planes look pretty, but they often do not fly as well as white.
For particularly sturdy planes, you can also use 80g paper. Thinner paper is not ideal - the planes will become too unstable. Too thick paper is difficult to fold, and the airplanes will be too heavy.
The folds need to be particularly precise and sharp. Run your fingernail or a bone folder along each crease. The more precise you work, the better your paper airplane will fly later on. Symmetrical folds are particularly important - only then will your airplane fly straight.
A small tip: Always have several sheets of paper ready. This way, you can try out and compare different models to see which one flies best. Besides, folding becomes more fun with practice!
What paper airplanes can you find in this category
In this category, we have compiled our most popular paper airplanes for you. An absolute classic is the Concorde - elegant and aerodynamically gliding through the air. Its slim shape makes it a true long-distance flyer.
For fans of fighter jets, we have several spectacular models: The F16 impresses with its compact design and is perfect for fast, precise flights. The F-15 is the all-rounder among paper airplanes - combining good flying characteristics with a simple construction. Our F-22 Raptor is a bit more challenging to fold, but rewards you with impressive flight maneuvers.
A special highlight is our modular aircraft. Here, you can customize various parts like wings and tail as you wish to develop your own perfect airplane.
For each model, you will find a detailed video, many photos, and a precise step-by-step guide. This will ensure your success in building paper airplanes. It's best to start with the simpler models and then move on to the more complex ones.
