- Follower
Followers are users who follow a specific account on social networks, i.e. subscribe to it. The term mainly refers to the provider Twitter, where users subscribe to so-called tweets. However, the term follower is now also widely used in other social networks such as Instagram. The more followers an account has, the greater its reach and influence. Reaching a large number of followers is also a suitable business model for earning money from them in the social media sector.
- Franchising
Franchising is a sales system in which an entrepreneur is allowed to use an existing business model for a fee and in compliance with established standards. This may involve products, services or technologies, for example. Both contracting parties act independently in economic and legal terms. A prominent example of franchising is the fast food chain McDonalds, more than 90% of whose outlets are operated by franchisees.
- Fundraising
Fundraising describes the systematic procurement of resources, e.g. for charitable or benevolent purposes. This primarily involves monetary donations. However, donations in kind or time - for example through charitable work - are also included. The costs of procuring these donations - e.g. through marketing measures - should be kept as low as possible.
