There are some really great new features in the 2018 version of Photoshop CC.

• Painting with symmetry (especially interesting for mandala images)
• Copy and paste layers faster
• Share images (Facebook, Skype etc.)
• Animated tool tips
• Mini-tutorials as control panel
• variable fonts
• improved path display through thicker color contour and rubber band as well as new rounding pen tool
• quickly change certain areas using an area mask in Camera Raw

There are no really big new functions in the 2017 version of Photoshop CC. But there are many detailed improvements:

• New dialog for creating a document
• Search within Photoshop and the cloud
• Support for SVG fonts (emoji)
• Liquefy -> Eye can be changed individually
• Preset -> User interface -> Highlight color -> blue when selecting layer or tab
• Objects can be added precisely in the library
• Expanded and improved: Properties panel (in text layers, additional properties are now displayed in the properties panel)

The Photoshop CC 2015.5 update from June 2016 has numerous new features. In this video, I will show you how you can easily fix collapsing lines in Camera Raw with very little effort (mostly houses that look like they are about to fall over, caused by lens distortion) and at the same time, if you crop images with the crop tool, you can also automatically add new pixels. Both functions are really brilliant!

Another major new function is the ability to optimize faces even more easily, i.e. to enlarge the eyes or reduce the size of the nose, or to enhance the lips or make the mouth smile. All this can be done either using the slider or intuitively with the mouse.

Another function that I show in this video is the "Enhance Edge" function, which is now called "Select and Mask" and also brings a nice improvement.

When I saw this new function, I was immediately hooked: How often do you have pictures with text in them, but you don't know which font it is? Photoshop now helps you to find out exactly this or a similar font. This video shows whether this works well. There are also improvements in the handling of glyphs. From now on, you don't even need the control panel to quickly insert better glyphs for certain letters.

The improvements to the repair brush in the penultimate update were not met with enthusiasm by everyone. Therefore, there is now the option to reactivate the old repair brush. In addition, various small mini-functions have been added to the drawing areas.

What other nice little improvements are there? These include the display of the number of layers in the info panel or the option to always display unseparated color values. In addition, color profiles can now be embedded during export and libraries can be shared (with the option for write protection).
