Drone photos: What is possible, what is allowed? How do you get started?

Depending on your personal requirements, a drone can represent a small, medium or even large investment. At the very least, it should pay for itself with good photos and, in the best case, be financially profitable through orders and sold photos - but there is one thing it should never do: crash to the ground on its first flight. To help you get started, Benyamin Senkal will take you on a one-hour, 18-lesson excursion into drone photography.

The training addresses three main aspects , each of which is backed up by several videos with important facts that you should definitely consider before your first take-off:

1. technology: drone photography has been a trend for some time now and more and more companies are offering a wide variety of flying devices, from low-cost entry-level models to high-priced professional aircraft. Get to know the different types of drones and camera systems, find out what to look out for in the battery and also choose the right gimbal so that you can take your photos without shaking and in perfect focus. Your trainer will explain the respective advantages and disadvantages of the different systems - a decision-making aid for the purchase of your drone .

2. safety (as of 2017, not taking into account the GDPR and new legal drone regulations): It should be clear to every drone pilot that you cannot take off without further ado, both from a legal point of view and due to safety aspects: On the one hand, you are encroaching on airspace and, on the other, there is a potential risk of endangering the health of other people. So where should and may you fly? What altitude is permitted? How do you get a take-off permit? And what disruptive factors can you eliminate in advance to prevent a crash? The training provides well-founded answers to these questions.

3rd practice: The drone is activated, the camera is ready, the controller is in your hand - the countdown is on ... Hopefully everything has been thought of! As with any other shoot, effective preparation is at least half the battle when it comes to drone photography. Benyamin Senkal summarizes for you what you can do before and during the flight so that you finally find what you have in mind in the camera memory. Explore the location, fly alone or as a duo and use the functions of modern drones to land safely - helpful tips from experienced practitioners to get you started.
