More than just beautiful pictures: the Photoshop retouching workflow
Photoshop leaves little to be desired when it comes to image editing. Endless possibilities - but where should you start, how do you proceed and what is really suitable when it comes to conjuring up more beauty from an image or portrait?
This training offers you orientation, how-to and concrete procedures directly from the tried-and-tested workflow of a professional retoucher. What you can expect from trainer Merle Nicksch in just under two hours with 26 lessons:
Raw Conversion & Camera Raw
As in practice, the training starts with the source image. Prepare it using raw conversion , take care of the skin tones and use Camera Raw in such a way that you direct the viewer's gaze in your favor right from the start.
Basic retouching, dodge and burn & frequency separation in Photoshop
Once the image preparation is complete, it's on to every little detail: your trainer describes how to do the basic retouching , powder the skin, deal with "flying" hair and even add the odd hair here and there. Thicken the eyebrows, make the eyes and teeth shine and work on the skin, body and face with dodge and burn or targeted liquefaction. And what should definitely not be missing from your repertoire: frequency separation, one of the most popular techniques in beauty and portrait photography.
Even more beauty: the finishing touches
Finally, you round off your pictures by highlighting striking features such as freckles, refining clothing and accessories and giving the whole picture a suitable look : make it "cross", warm and desaturated, black and white or interspersed with colored highlights - not by playing with masks or adjustment layers, but by using them skilfully .
