Get fit in sports photography: light, technique, approach, tips and tricks
Would you like to explore the new field of sports photography or deepen and expand your knowledge? Advertising photographer Maik Goering makes his models sweat so that you learn and understand what you need to pay attention to as a sports photographer.
Four sports scenes are developed
In the training course with 22 video lessons and a playing time of three hours, four different sports scenarios are played out: Maik Goering has his models run, play with their muscles in a fitness park, ride a bike and get into action on the soccer pitch. The numerous tips and photographic means and methods shown can also be transferred to other sporting activities.
Staged sports photography - convincingly realistic results
Before the shoot, the locations are examined with a photographic eye and your trainer explains why he has chosen the model in question. Different motif variations are then implemented: You will learn how to create dynamic and action-packed scenes, for example a photo of a mountain biker with a speed effect. You will learn about the special features of taking portraits in the sports sector. And with your know-how, you will be able to photograph scenes that are also suitable for advertising.
Included: all kinds of tips and sports shots for inspiration
The main focus of the training is your handling of light . The lessons address both photography with natural light and the use of technical aids such as clip-on and compact flashes or reflectors. Which focal lengths and aperture settings are appropriate? How do you avoid disturbing shadows? How do you bring momentum into the picture and what happens when you unleash your flashes? - Your trainer will give you the answers. You will also receive 81 photos taken during the shootings for inspiration .
The models were (professional) athletes who deserve our thanks for their commitment: Jessica Bisceglia ran along the edge of the forest, Elias Del Core steeled himself in the fitness park, Nikole Rozak cycled through the forest and across the meadow and Benedikt Haibt kicked the ball.
