Photoshop action: Give your pictures a modern Sketch look
With this action, you can create a swirl of thread-like strokes within a few seconds that wrap around your subject like a sketch. You can freely adjust the color.
Set the scene for your pictures with the Sketch look
Of course, you can also create the Sketch look yourself. However, this Photoshop action takes a huge amount of time off your hands. What's more, it is possible to apply the action to several images in succession so that you can quickly and easily create series of images in a uniform style. For more artistic image experiences, take a look at our Photoshop action packs Volume 1 and Volume 2.
Use the Photoshop action for portraits - and for other motifs too
You can of course use the Photoshop "Sketch" action for any subject. You can achieve particularly good results with portraits of people, but - as we have just seen - also of animals. Just give it a try!
What does the Photoshop action do to your images? - First, define the area with your subject using an empty layer and a few brushstrokes. Then start the action and Photoshop will create the Sketch look. The color of your image is reduced and strokes reminiscent of the loose lines of a ballpoint pen are drawn around your chosen motif. You then have the option of adding more strokes and adjusting the color if required.
