In a previous trick, I showed how we can export all the paths, link information and so on and so forth in a script.
Step 1
Some people are not fans of scripts and for them I have another trick up my sleeve, namely that we can also export this information, which can be found under links.
Step 2
To do this, simply click on the small menu and then you have all kinds of options under Copy information.
Step 3
However, I first have to select a file and then I have several options under Copy information, such as Copy full path, Copy platform style path, Copy all link information. I'll do that once now.
Step 4
Now I go to a text editor, in my case TextPad, and paste what I have in my clipboard. Now I can see all the information in the file.
Step 5
Not bad, but maybe I want to know the information of all files, so I select all files with the Shift key pressed and go to Copy information>Copy info for selected shortcuts.
Step 6
When I paste this back into my TextPad, I don't see quite as much information. I can only see the name of the file, the status and the page.
Step 7
But I would still like to know the path, the resolution and the color space. How can I do that? It's not that difficult, I click on the small menu icon again and then on Control panel options.
Step 8
There you can then click on anything that interests you. For example, the color space, the path and the size.
Step 9
Then we see that all the information is already displayed in the shortcuts.
Step 10
Via Copy information>Copy information for selected links ...
Step 11
... we paste the contents of the clipboard back into a text editor and see all the information that is available to us.
