Today, we use Seobility to optimize websites and online stores for every new or revised project - the tool works its way through all pages (crawling is similar to that of search engine robots) and then provides crystal-clear information about the status and quality of the project and, more importantly, the final report naturally also shows concrete measures and recommendations for action that you can follow like a guideline - and that makes it easy to achieve rapid on-page success.
The Seobility dashboard shows different areas with optimization levels in "Technology & Meta", "Structure" and "Content".
For each of these three areas, Seobility provides individual pages that show the degree of optimization of the project, followed by errors and notes sorted by importance.
Below is a look at the "Technology & Meta" section of the MeckCura.de website. Here you can see where there is a need for action. At 43% quality, the measurement result is also not very pleasing. As MeckCura.de is a comparatively small project, a few improvements can already result in big leaps in on-page quality. And the reverse is also true for small projects: a few errors have a big impact.
Three pages could not be accessed due to technical problems . This is a cardinal error that has a very strong influence on the measurement result because it leads both search engine robots and users to 404 pages. On mouseover, I can already see the weighting of 200, while other problems are "only" in double digits or single digits. Let's take a closer look.
Especially as a beginner in search engine optimization, I can unfold the useful hints via "...read more" and get information so that I know why this point is important and what to do to correct the error. I can now click on the URL and get the detailed view. There, under the Linking tab, I can see exactly where these 404 links are still located.
If I now check the homepage of MeckCura.de, I can't find this link behind any navigation point, button or text link. I briefly check the source code and find the source. Links were originally provided in the Cards section of the site and then removed from the frontend as part of the initial work before the relaunch. But apparently technically incorrectly implemented by a developer.
Later, the links on the subpage were changed without setting up redirects, which resulted in this 404 error. I can now remove the link in the WordPress backend of the website. I do the same for the other two faulty links.
Once I have worked through the error, I can either crawl again, which doesn't make sense if there are a lot of upcoming fixes, or simply tick off the fix on the right. This way I can keep track of what has already been done.
As MeckCura.de is a small website, I have it crawled again straight away and can see how the on-page quality has already improved in the Seobility score. For technology it went from 50 to 72.
