Let's take a look at a third problem under Technology & Meta: Problematic page titles . In one, we have a repeated word. Others are too long.
By default, the legal form GmbH is appended to each page title in addition to the name of the care service. The system pulls this out automatically. 55 to 65 characters is optimal. In the WordPress system, I can now remove the "GmbH" under Settings => General in the WordPress backend. This saves a few characters and GmbH is not really relevant from a keyword perspective. Then I go to the respective pages and try to achieve the optimum length there.
For #1, I change Ambulanter Pflegedienst => Ambulant care
With #3 it gets tricky. There are too many keywords in the title, which makes it too long.
Now I can use the keyword research tool from Seobility to find the "better" keyword.
- Senior living => 1,600 views with low competition
- Assisted living => 33,100 views with low competition
I prefer to optimize these page titles to "Assisted living". I remove "Senioren WG" from the page title.
Find errors and derive measures
In practice, it's important to focus on the respective errors and clues. Seobility helps you to see the wood for the trees, while mouseover information provides concise information about the type of error and how important it is for search engine optimization. If you now click on one of the parameters visible at the top, a list of all the pages affected by the error appears.
The exact problem is also explained in detail.
In the following example, you can see all the pages of the website where problems with the use of H1 headings have been identified. The blog articles are missing an H1. The blog heading is an H2. That's one thing a developer can change quickly and easily.
For other headings, I could decide whether to make them longer.
I can hide this author page completely using the YOAST SEO plugin in WordPress.
These kinds of overviews give me clear instructions on which pages require which measures - it's like an SEO route through the jungle that users can work through like a list.
