GAP & interface analysis: What do your competitors rank for?
It is also interesting to be able to see exactly which keywords your competitors are ranking for, but you are not yet or not so well.
You can do this via the competition analysis in the keyword research tool.
In addition to keyword research for a keyword or domain, you can use the keyword research tool to compare the organic and paid ranking of your domain with up to two competitor domains. Two types of analysis are available for this: "GAP" and "Intersection".
The GAP analysis shows you which keywords your competitors are ranking for (both organically and in paid search), but you are not yet. Find out which keywords could be hiding untapped ranking potential for your website! It's best to have the view sorted by search volume. This will show you the greatest potential, provided you also offer products or content for them. In your individual SEO and keyword check, you can see what your competitors have paid attention to when optimizing.
The intersection analysis , on the other hand, lists all keywords for which each of the domains entered ranks. This allows you to find out for which keywords you are already ahead and where there may still be optimization potential. Here too, it makes sense to take a closer look at the keywords with a high search volume.
